My name is Stephanie, and I currently live in the Hanover, NH area and have been vegan for over 8 years!
After making the transition to veganism, I discovered a passion for plant-based nutrition and healthy living. Although I earned two degrees in music, I now focus most of my time on living an active vegan lifestyle. I am certified in Plant-Based Nutrition from eCornell and have completed Dr. McDougall’s Starch Solution Certification. I also enjoy reading books on the topic and educating myself on what it means to be vegan for the animals, the environment, and for health. The knowledge acquired from these sources has inspired me to help family, friends, and coworkers as well as myself.
The last few years, my interest and focus has shifted from nutrition to cooking – vegan, of course! I’ve completed Rouxbe’s Professional Plant-Based Certification and Essential Vegan Desserts as well as Food Future Institute’s Foundations Phase 1 and Crystal Dawn Culinary’s Raw Desserts Certification. While I am still passionate about the power of plant-based nutrition, I now focus on learning how to turn simple plants into delicious meals and teaching others to do the same. I specialize in using techniques to create simple, homecooked meals and desserts that shine. I believe quality of ingredients makes a big difference in the final result of a dish, and I enjoy sourcing high quality, organic, and local ingredients to showcase and use in my dishes.
I currently work full time as Operations Manager for the Bridge Program at Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. In addition to discovering and creating healthy vegan recipes, learning about plant-based nutrition, and promoting the vegan lifestyle, in my free time I enjoy reading, practicing yoga, watching NBA basketball, and advocating for animal rights and sustainable practices.
